BAR
Bar was born, according to people, as a clear prospect for victories, a future champion destined for a promising show jumping career. However, from a young age, he made it clear that this was not the path for him. When Káča bought him at 3.5 years old, everyone thought he would make a great dressage horse. He trained as long as he felt like it. Physically, he was capable, but was he willing? Not really :)
Even back then, with her beginner’s experience, Káča felt a completely different approach was needed, but she trusted her mentor and coach. They reached Level S with Baroušek, and both knew that their next steps wouldn't go further, that they would have to look elsewhere.
And so they searched. They explored new styles, new approaches, new trainers. Suddenly, they found themselves attending courses by Honza Bláha and fell in love with Horsemanship. Watch out, Baroušek thrived, enjoyed the collaborative work, and began to show himself as an immensely malleable and cooperative horse. Then in 2007, their paths crossed with physiotherapist Tereza Honců, who, through her company Caballinus, helped children with the assistance of horses.
That hit the mark. If Baroušek ever loved anything more than his owner, it was the children. Maybe it was their energy or something. In 2012, Káča and Baroušek parted ways with Caballinus and, along with Kačenka Maříková, founded their own company, Mirákl Center for Hippotherapy. Baroušek found his calling and fully devoted himself to the children, training other horses that joined, and became the leader of the entire group.
Nothing lasts forever, and even Mirákl moved on, quite literally. The company relocated its operations to Vysočina, and Baroušek and his owner took a few years away from the hippotherapy scene, perhaps needing a break to mature. Owner Káča let Baroušek rest in the pasture next to her developing pension in the countryside and got him several new friends for the herd.
However, it wouldn't be Barouš if he didn’t want to spend his retirement in the company of people who are grateful for their journey and focus on more than just goals. He planned it all so that he eventually returned to the Kralupy area, to the village of Debrno, where he still refuses to give up leading his herd, even though retirement due to old age is knocking at the door. Bar remains a proud, strong, and wise horse, inviting anyone interested in the path of knowledge to join him...
