Magic Horsemanship Course
Communicating with Horses in Their Own Language
One of the most important aspects of effective communication with a horse is understanding the simple principles that mimic the natural way these magnificent creatures communicate. In the horsemanship course we had the opportunity to attend, the instructor focuses on mirroring the natural communication of horses. This approach is key to building mutual understanding and respect between humans and horses.
The course instructor compares parts of the human body and ways of posture to the horse's body parts and its gestures and stances. In this way, she aims to teach participants how to properly communicate with the horse on its own level. Based on these simple principles, she works with the horse much more clearly and efficiently, leading to a quick resolution of misunderstandings between the horse and the human.
One of the key moments of the course is demonstrating how to correctly position oneself to the horse so that it feels safe and not threatened. The instructor emphasizes that it is important to clearly show the horse who is taking the lead in the situation. This stance gives the horse a sense of calm and security and shows that there is no reason for stress or fear. In this way, it is possible to heal the horse and its perception of human behavior, which can often lead to the uncontrollability of this massive creature.
The instructor provides participants with clear instructions and their practical application. Each participant learns to repeat her procedures and communicate with the horse in such a way that it understands and responds positively. As a result, participants are able to improve their relationship with their horses and achieve better results in their collaborative work.
The horsemanship course is not just about learning techniques and methods, but primarily about building trust and understanding between humans and horses. This approach shows us that with respect and understanding, we can achieve much more than we ever imagined. We thank the instructor for her inspiring approach and valuable advice, which helped us better understand our four-legged friends.
