I am Kateřina, but most people call me Káča. My academic background is in Social and Media Communication and a master's degree in Andragogy. Since childhood, I have been connected with horses – my childhood is filled with memories of riding clubs and camps. From the age of twelve, I was a member of Radka Bozděchová's riding club, where I not only improved my riding skills but also learned life discipline and determination.
My professional path led me to training horses under the guidance of Radka Seidlová, which was invaluable for my further development. Together with my horse Bar, we began exploring alternative approaches to riding, which led us to a Horsemanship course with Jan Bláha. This period significantly influenced my professional direction, and in 2010, I obtained a training license from the Czech Equestrian Federation.
Subsequently, I joined the company Caballinus, where I specialized in preparing horses for hippotherapy. This moved me to establish the Mirákl Hippotherapy Center, where I served as the director until 2018. After its relocation to the Vysočina region, I took time to build my own horse pension, where in addition to Bar, I also acquired Lady, her daughter Lilith, and Merlin – the result of unexpected love with a neighboring Lipizzaner. My herd also includes my personal equine therapist, the stallion Jerezano.
In 2021, I took another step in my career and transferred my mare Lilith to work with children at a riding club in Kladno. After several changes, in 2023, I returned to my native region near Kralupy, in the village of Debrno. Here, along with Laura and Veronika, I revived our hippotherapy activities, this time with a greater focus on the psychosocial field.
My mission is to show how one can combine a professional career with personal passion. I hope that my work and dedication to horses and people in need can be an inspiration to others in the field of hippotherapy. This enthusiasm and experience I also try to share in courses I lead at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague.
